Rajon Rondo, left, and Chris Paul are the subject of trade rumors.

Rajon Rondo is on his way to Indiana ... unless Utah comes up with a way to land him.

Chris Paul is becoming a New York Knick ... unless the Clippers somehow get their hands on him.

Hold everything, this just in -- the two star point guards simply are going to switch teams ... unless everybody just ends up staying put.

With the NBA lockout finally coming to an end, there are enough trade rumors out there to make your head spin. Many of the early ones involve Rondo or Paul, sometimes both.

The Boston Celtics have been gauging trade interest in Rondo for more than a year, according to Yahoo! Sports. And Paul will be a free agent in 2012, meaning the New Orleans Hornets may want to get something for him while they can.

One of the most intriguing reports came Wednesday morning from ESPN's Chris Broussard, who said sources told him the Celtics are looking to swap Rondo for Paul.

But the Hornets aren't interested in a two-team trade involving the players, according to SI.com, so Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge is said to be looking to bring in a third team that could provide some younger players for New Orleans.

And then came this tweet from Broussard later Wednesday: "Let all the CP3-to-Boston chatter cease. CP will not sign long-term ext with Celtics, according to source close to situation."

See, your head is spinning, right? And that's just one of the scenarios involving Rondo and Paul. And they are just two of the players out there on the trading block.

Just wait till free agency starts next week ...
